Cox Homelife Ending October 22, 2026: Phoenix Homeowner Guide

Cox Homelife customers who received the October 22, 2026 discontinuation notice have an important decision to make: what should replace the alarm system, and which existing devices can still be useful?

Start with an equipment inventory

Before buying anything, identify the touchscreen panel, door and window sensors, motion detectors, cameras, smart locks and automation devices in the home. Take clear photos of model numbers when possible.

Do not assume every device can transfer

Security sensors use different wireless technologies and frequencies. A replacement provider should verify compatibility instead of promising that every Cox device can be reused.

Plan the monitoring transition early

A monitored replacement can use cellular communication for alarm signaling, while supported app, video and automation features may also use the home's internet connection. Schedule the evaluation before the discontinuation date so there is time to test the new system.
