Monitoring prices and your offer
How much does cellular alarm monitoring cost in Phoenix?
Cellular alarm monitoring is $35 per month without app access. Cellular monitoring with remote arming and app access is $40 per month. Compatible equipment and a monitoring agreement are required. Equipment, installation, agreement length and any additional charges are identified in your written offer.
What is included in the $40 monitoring plan?
The $40 monthly plan includes cellular alarm monitoring and app access for remote arming and disarming on a compatible system. Camera recording, additional devices and smart-home extras are quoted separately.
Can I get alarm equipment and installation at no upfront charge?
Qualifying Cox Homelife customers may receive the qualifying alarm package and standard installation at no charge with a new monitoring agreement. We evaluate the system first and explain the included equipment, agreement term and exclusions before you sign.
Equipment, replacement and service questions
Who can replace Cox Homelife in Phoenix?
The Alarm Butler LLC evaluates Cox Homelife systems and provides monitored replacement options throughout the Phoenix metro. Start by sending your address and photos of the panel, keypads and device labels.
Can I keep my Cox Homelife sensors?
Reuse depends on each sensor model, wireless technology, condition and the selected replacement panel. We inspect the equipment before confirming which devices can stay.
Can I keep my Cox cameras, thermostat and door lock?
Each device is reviewed separately. Do not assume a Cox camera or smart-home device will transfer to the new platform. Replacement devices and any added service costs are quoted before installation.
Do I need Cox Internet for my replacement alarm?
A cellular alarm communicator uses its cellular connection for alarm signaling. Internet requirements for cameras, app features and automation depend on the selected equipment and service.
How do I avoid a monitoring gap when switching from Cox?
Arrange the equipment review and installation early. Confirm that the replacement system has been tested and activated, and coordinate account closure with Cox directly.
Can you help after Cox Homelife service has ended?
Yes. Contact us for an equipment review and available installation dates. We will determine the condition of the existing system and the work needed to establish new monitoring.
How long does a Cox alarm replacement take?
Installation time depends on the panel, number of zones, device compatibility and wiring condition. We provide an estimated appointment length after reviewing the system.
What happens to my equipment after Cox service ends?
Local alarm operation and remote features vary by equipment and account status. Confirm shutdown details with Cox and have the system evaluated rather than assuming monitoring or app access continues.
Can you monitor my Honeywell or Ademco alarm?
We review the exact panel model, firmware, communicator and zone configuration. A compatible existing system may be retained; required upgrades are listed in your proposal.
How do I identify my Honeywell Vista 20P?
The keypad model alone does not identify the control panel. Send a clear photo of the control enclosure label or circuit-board model, without showing user codes. Avoid touching wiring or exposed electrical connections.
Can a Vista 20P have phone app control?
App access requires a supported panel and compatible interactive communicator with the appropriate service plan. We verify the model and firmware before recommending an upgrade.
Should I keep my Vista 20P or replace it?
Compare its condition, desired app features, communicator options and the cost of retaining existing sensors. A sound wired system may be worth upgrading; replacement can make sense when requirements exceed its capabilities.
Can I keep my Honeywell keypads?
Keypad reuse depends on whether the original panel stays and whether the keypads are compatible. Keypads designed for one panel generally cannot simply be connected to an unrelated replacement platform.
Can I reuse wired door and window sensors?
Existing wired zones are tested for operation, wiring condition and compatibility. A replacement platform may need a compatible wired-zone interface; this is included in the equipment review.
Can you take over an alarm without the installer code?
For an authorized owner, we assess supported takeover options and whether the system is locked or requires replacement. We do not guarantee access to every existing panel.
Does DSC PowerSeries Neo work with Alarm.com?
An Alarm.com configuration depends on supported panel and communicator combinations and an appropriate service plan. We verify your DSC Neo model and communication hardware before quoting.
Can I keep my older DSC wireless sensors?
DSC branding alone does not establish compatibility. We check the panel family and sensor technology; older PowerSeries devices should not be assumed interchangeable with Neo or Qolsys equipment.
Can DSC Neo use a touchscreen keypad?
Keypad options depend on the exact panel and supported models. We confirm compatibility, wiring and desired features before selecting a touchscreen or additional keypad.
Can IQ Panel 4 replace my Cox alarm?
An IQ Panel 4 replacement can be evaluated for your home, but sensor reuse depends on the panel variant and existing device technology. We select the panel only after reviewing your system.
Can IQ4 or IQ5 use wired sensors?
Wired sensor reuse may require a supported conversion module and zone-by-zone testing. Device type and life-safety requirements must be reviewed separately.
Should I choose IQ Panel 4 or IQ Panel 5?
We compare current available models, sensor compatibility, keypad needs, supported features and installed cost. The newer model is not automatically the best value for every existing system.
Can I add a keypad with physical buttons?
Secondary keypad choices depend on the selected panel and compatible accessories. Tell us where the keypads are needed and whether physical buttons are a requirement before equipment is ordered.
Can I view cameras on an alarm touchscreen?
Camera viewing depends on the panel, camera model, software and service plan. App compatibility does not automatically mean the same camera can display on every touchscreen.
Who performs the licensed installation?
The Alarm Butler LLC performs licensed low-voltage contracting under Arizona ROC #320454. Trinity Systems LLC provides UniFi programming and technology services.
Can one team handle alarms, cameras and Wi-Fi?
Yes. Our team can coordinate alarm installation, cameras, access control, cabling and networking. The scope and price of each service are stated in the project proposal.
Does one provider mean everything uses one app?
No. Supported Alarm.com devices may share an app, while UniFi and other systems can use separate applications. We explain the app experience before selecting equipment.
Can you service a system installed by another company?
We can evaluate authorized existing systems. Service options depend on equipment access, compatibility, parts availability and condition.
Can I activate an alarm left by a previous homeowner?
We document the existing panel and zones, verify authorized access and test the equipment before recommending activation, repair or replacement.
What if my alarm keeps beeping?
A trouble indication may relate to a battery, communication path, zone or other condition. Record the displayed message and contact us for troubleshooting. Do not disconnect life-safety devices to silence a warning.
Are repairs and batteries included in monitoring?
Do not assume every service visit or replacement part is included. Your written agreement identifies warranty coverage, service charges and any maintenance options.
Do you provide commercial alarm monitoring?
We evaluate commercial intrusion systems and quote the monitoring and installation scope for the property. Residential package pricing does not automatically apply to every commercial installation.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Phoenix and surrounding metro communities including Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Buckeye, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. Scheduling depends on scope and location.
How should I compare The Alarm Butler with ADT or a local provider?
Compare the same equipment, cellular communication, app access, upfront charges, agreement length, equipment ownership and service coverage. Request a written offer from each provider; package details can differ.
Is the lowest monthly price always the lowest total cost?
No. Add equipment, installation, activation and recurring fees over the same time period. Also compare included features and the agreement obligations before deciding.
Why choose our team for security and technology?
We coordinate licensed security installation with UniFi programming, Wi-Fi, network cabling, cameras and access control. You can discuss the connected systems with one team and receive a defined scope for each service.
Do you guarantee to beat every competitor?
Our published plans are $35 per month for cellular monitoring and $40 per month for cellular monitoring with app access. Compare the complete written scope; we do not promise to beat every package or promotion.
