Phoenix Service Questions

Questions customers ask

Who installs Cat6 cabling in Phoenix?

Trinity Systems and The Alarm Butler provide Phoenix-area structured cabling for data drops, WiFi access points, cameras, phones, access control and network racks.

Do I need Cat7 cabling for my business or home?

Usually not. For most Ethernet installations, properly installed solid-copper Cat6 or Cat6A is the more practical choice. The correct category depends on distance, speed, PoE requirements, pathway conditions and the connected equipment.

Do I need Cat8 cabling for a Phoenix business?

Cat8 is designed for specialized short-reach high-speed applications and is rarely necessary for normal office, retail, warehouse or residential horizontal cabling. Cat6 or Cat6A is typically a better fit for those environments.

Is Cat8 faster than Cat6A?

Cat8 has a higher category rating, but installing a higher-numbered cable does not make internet service or network equipment faster by itself. The entire channel, distance and connected hardware determine usable speed.

Cat6 vs Cat6A vs Cat7 vs Cat8: what should I install?

For most Phoenix-area business and residential Ethernet, Cat6 or Cat6A provides a standards-based, serviceable path for current network speeds. We recommend the category based on the actual application rather than the largest number on the cable box.

Can CCA Ethernet cable cause network problems?

Copper-clad aluminum cable has different electrical characteristics from solid-copper communications cable and can create performance, PoE and compliance concerns. We prefer properly rated solid-copper cable for permanent structured cabling.

Can you test existing Ethernet before replacing it?

Yes. We can tone, identify, terminate and test existing cabling and recommend replacement only where the cable or pathway does not meet the project requirements.
